All great interior design projects start with creative space planning. Proper space planning is a science and also an art. It is an inherently nuanced process of visioning that requires the designer to understand the boundaries that can be pushed and manipulated in order to produce the highest and best results, for the least cost.
Our effective space planning considers the main principles of interior design: balance, harmony, rhythm, proportion + scale, and emphasis.
With over 40 years of proven success in the design industry, we are expert in the Design Development process - creating detailed and refined designs, expanded to incorporate all the plans, elevations, and specifications required for budget pricing and construction.
This is an exciting and critical phase because it is the time during which many of the prominent features of a design are decided and defined.
Our project management skills help to ensure that construction tasks are finished on schedule, within budget, and to an acceptable standard.
As the owner's representative we serve as the liaison with the project team to ensure that your best interests are carried out. We facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved, and help to streamline the decision-making process, maintain transparency, and efficiently resolve any conflicts that may arise during construction.
Ridiculous Design is a boutique interior architectural design studio established in 2008 by husband and wife team, Giorgio Lostao and Claudine Lostao. We are a full service architecture + interior design firm offering memorable and inspiring design solutions to the residential, hospitality and retail sectors, with a client list and work portfolio that spans across the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Fun is something you would expect from a couple who named their company Ridiculous Design. [Their] house is full of quotes from favorite films painted on the walls and glass partitions. They're not the cozy adages you might expect but are of a generally edgier, appropriately off-kilter variety, like the bathroom's selection from Zoolander, which asks, "Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really ridiculously good-looking?"

Giorgio is also an amAzing artist, a renaissance man of sorts ... he designed the incredible light installation that runs the entire length of the spine, through to the main living areas that overlook the waterfront. THIS HOUSE SUITS US SO WELL - WE'RE A CASUAL FAMILY WITH KIDS AND DOGS RUNNING AROUND. WE WANTED THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SPACES TO A BE A PART OF OUR DAILY LIFE, AND THEY TRULY ARE."
